In November 2019 after many years suffering with a painful neck which does have much movement in it now, I went to my gp’s because I was suffering with extreme fatigue. I could sleep 24hrs and still be exhausted. Had bloods taken and was referred to rheumatologist. Had more bloods and scan and was finally diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. A form of arthritis and inflammation of the neck, hips and spine. But can also attack other joints. I’d never heard of this condition before. I was started on meds, I’m now immunocompromised and I’m on biological drugs which I inject every 4 weeks. Plus I take a bunch of other meds for other illnesses that I suffer with.
